I had to use a really simple version of photoshop to do this so it might be getting re-done soon. The effects ar all over the place and resizing messed up the image...but i still like the original bird and apple.
Everything is well drawn on this piece, but the drop shadows and the light effects are way too much. They need to be a lot more subtle. I think that this whole illo would look better without them.
This image would look just fine if everything was just totally flat. Maybe you could play with some subtle texture, and more color variation in the background.
I didn't know red was the color of hunger. Unless your a vampire; then it's definately the color of hunger. :) Cool bird. I wish there was a worm in the apple. Then it would be a cool play on "The early bird get the worm" Kinda thing.
