This is my final for computer illustration. I like a lot of things about it...but I don't think i actually like it as a whole...but i don't know that there is anything i would change either. Maybe it is one of those things ou have to look at again after a few months.

This method...cmyk channels...was really complicated and i don't like the results very much. However, i do like how intense everything stays when i actually did it right. I don't know if i want to take the time to get to know it better.

gravity...a problem

This image is supposed to be in the lino cut style, but I went about the process backwards. I think this would have worked better if I had kept thinking of it as something I was cutting into.

This was practice for a new technique we learned in class...it is supposed to be a painterly effect. It is very interesting, but i need more practice.

I really liked this assignment. We scanned a sketch and then painted under and on it for our illustration.

texture experiment

I haven't ever played with a lot of texture in physical images so i didn't really know what i was doing with a digtal one either.

This is my first "painting" in photoshop with an underdrawing. It still looks like a sketch, but i like it.

Red...you know the color of hunger

I had to use a really simple version of photoshop to do this so it might be getting re-done soon. The effects ar all over the place and resizing messed up the image...but i still like the original bird and apple.

This image is an attempt at the franson style. I was having a lot of trouble getting all of the layers to work together and to manage the effects i wanted. The things I had the most trouble with were cutting it out and...well everything.
This image is in honor of my little sister natalie, she gave herself a new haircut recently and she has been dubed "Nathan" until it grows back.
